About your captain

Fishing and hunting have been my lifestyle and obsession since an early age.

Growing up on the banks of the Nottawasaga River, catching steelhead started the journey to where I am today. I started fishing competitive bass and walleye tournaments in 1987 and continued to do so until 2010. I was also introduced to saltwater fishing in the late 1990s and caught the tarpon bug in 2005.

This obsession finds me chasing tarpon in Florida three months of the year, followed by pelagic species like marlin and tuna in places like Australia, Costa Rica, and Panama. I have chased just about every species of fish worldwide and throughout Canada: from massive sturgeon on the Fraser River to remote brook trout in Lake Superior and Lake Nipigon. I have extensively fished many rivers throughout British Columbia, catching incredible steelhead, wild salmon, cutthroats, and bulltrout. Still, my home waters are Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe, with over 36 years of experience navigating these waters. This lifelong obsession has blessed me with the knowledge of various techniques for catching fish just about anywhere.

I am blessed to have all these experiences and am looking forward to sharing and teaching some of my knowledge and techniques with my fishing charter guests in Parry Sound – Georgian Bay.
